I love brunch, an unhurried, languorous affair
which usually denotes the beginning of a day of rest from the grind
| Avocado & tomato baguette with Frugally Well's best dry cure streaky bacon |
Today we don't plan on doing too much, tomorrow is the last of our four days 'holiday' and we want to enjoy every minute of peace we can. We had a late night watching the football last night and so didn't rise until around 9:30am this morning. I dug around for something to eat and as we still have at least four meals worth of the Frugally Well dry cure streaky that had to form the basis of our first meal of the day.
I have one tomato from the last Aldi super 6 left over and a slightly overripe avocado, the freezer was also harbouring 2 part baked baguettes, job's a good'un. Himself had a rather manly bacon and egg baguette and I had my current favourite BAT (bacon, avocado and tomato) baguette.
Whilst rummaging through the chest freezer for the baguettes I found some blueberries I'd found YS'd a while ago. I'm going to make a batch of yoghurt in my thermal bag later and this will make a yummy breakfast or two next week.
What are your favourite brunch ideas?
