Summing up, a busy day with left overs for dinner
It was delicious all the same
I wasn't at work today and so made the most of the kitchen and the garden. I baked jammy cakes, made peanut butter ice cream and planted out three large tubs with perennial herbs and annual herbs. Phew!
Luckily dinner tonight was an easy thing as it's left over night. We had the breasts of the chicken left over from the sticky ginger, orange and honey chicken earlier in the week. We also polished off the last of the Austrian meatloaf with two chipolatas broken in half for luck. The last of the Jersey Royal's had to be used as they're likely to turn green.
I had mine with cabbage which I'd blanched and frozen and the last few green beans lurking in the freezer. I used the chicken stock to make gravy with Bisto, there's quite a bit left which I've poured into a foil tray and will freeze for another day.
Pudding was a scoop of the peanut butter ice cream.
