HUNGRY girl!
Today I have been waiting for a delivery from Approved Food and my one hour delivery slot was between 12:35 to 13:35. I dared not leave the window as the kitchen is in an extension at the back of the flat and nobody knows we have a small patio and back door so deliveries all come via the main entrance. The main entrance door bells don't work due to a leak and ongoing maintenance work; hence my nose pressed to the window and my grumbly tumbly. I know I should have had breakfast but somehow today felt more like a cup of tea in bed for breakfast day and I nodded back off to sleep for far too long.
I'm snowed in so no work which is both good and bad. Anyhow, delivery safely received and excitedly unpacked, small dog seemed more excited than me even though there was nothing in the boxes for her. My stash under the bed is getting bigger with each AF delivery.
And so my thoughts turned to the din coming from my stomach. I have in my fridge, a small piece of cheddar, a jar of peppers, some milk, eggs and four small ish tomatoes alongside jars of apple and redcurrant sauce, tubes of garlic and tomato puree.
I grabbed the tomatoes and drizzled a quarter teaspoon of olive oil over them then popped them into the Halogen oven for 10 minutes having rubbed a clove of garlic round the cooking pot first. I love garlic but just wanted a hit of rather than a full on mouthful. I decided to leave the peppers for another day and when the pinger had pinged I cracked the egg between the tomatoes and let it have 5 more minutes at 250 Celcius with the extension ring on as I like my egg smooth and still wobbly.
I popped a frozen slice of bread on the top rack for the same duration and 5 minutes later was tucked up on the settee with my baked tomato and egg on toast. So simple, soooo delish! I was going to garnish with some fresh parsley from the living herb box I found in a local DIY garden centre reduced from £25 to £5.
I also wanted take a photo but was so hungry it didn't touch the sides so neither was achieved. I will try my best to remember to photo first, eat after next time.
